Included are organizations that are currently collecting personal stories both in local communities and at a national level. Anyone who wants to collect their own family biographies or tell their own personal stories in a digital format will find great resources about techniques and equipment. Also included are resources for oral biographies.

These stories are then broadcast on local tv.

	Personal Family Stories		StoryCorps http://www.storycorps.net/ StoryCorps is a national project to instruct and inspire Americans to record each other's stories in sound. Record at our soundproof recording booth in New York City. You'll have the help of a trained facilitator. You'll receive a CD of your interview before you leave. And you'll even have the opportunity to add your interview to the StoryCorps Archive, housed at the Library of Congress. They can also mail a story recording kit so people can send in their stories for the national archive.
